Synopsis

Beneath her sophisticated beauty, fashion model Hillary Baxter was still just a small-town girl. How could she be expected to resist the charm of her new employer, mesmerising tycoon Bret Bardoff. But Christmas in New York could change everything.

My thoughts

Hillary Baxter was doing very well working alongside Larry the photographer, until one day he tells her he is going to be at a meeting one day, when is supposed to be working with her. I found this to be a great connection to the real world. Roberts is good at this.

The day off, he had someone stand in for him, little did Hillary know who it was. She doesn’t take to this new employer straight away. But after the first day working together, she couldn’t seem to get him out of her mind. Every day after that, she found herself in even more of a situation as she realises she is falling for him, and he for her. This is again, another fabulous feature Roberts includes in her books. She adds so much suspense, it, metaphorically speaking, kills you. It’s so exciting.

Conclusion

I would highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoyed reading books with suspense built into it.

I shall write the review of the second book in a separate poat. But poat it in the same day. Only because I would like go have your opinions on how you would like 2 in 1 book reviews written. Whether it’s within one post or two. Please let me know in the comments.

Thank you so much for reading. Don’t forget to like, comment and follow me of you enjoyed wat you read.
