Other characters
Joe Dolin

Synopsis

The bad boy of the Mackade brothers has come home.

He has the whole Maryland town buzzing and not even reserved antiques dealer, Reagan Jones, could be completely immune to sexy Rafe Mackade. Lovely Reagan couldn’t help but be intrigued by the gorgeous businessman with a reputation for trouble but her plans didn’t include a relationship with a rebel.

My thoughts

Two people with two different personalities meet when Rafe returns home from working in another state. Whilst he was away, Reagan had heard all sorts about Rafe Mackade, how he was a rebel, and had a bad reputation.

Well, how wrong were they now? He was a changed man. Growing up, his brothers and himself had always carried a bad reputation but now, all that has changed. He was a businessman.

Reagan was very much drawn in, although this was a concern for her, as she had her life set out, and she had not planned to fall in love.

Conclusion

Well, what can I say? This book was very intriguing and enticing. Definitely worth the read,  I would highly recommend this series.

So when his work as an attorney brings him up against Savannah Morningstar, her rude behaviour and strong defenses aren’t nearly enough to scare him off―quite the opposite. Thoughts of the outrageously direct and sinfully sexy woman keep Jared coming back for more. And the more he gets to know her, the more determined he is to stand by her always. (Source Goodreads)

Conclusion

This again, was a very enticing and intriguing book. I would highly recommend this book, series.

Title – The Heart of Devin Mackade
Author – Nora Roberts

Main characters
Devin
Cassie
Emma
Connor
Mackade family

Synopsis

The patient Mackade

Sheriff Devin Mackade had always has his eye on Cassie. For twelve years he’d watched over her and her children. Twelve years of being the dependable friend, of seeing the woman he would’ve cherished suffer. Now Cassie was free…but vulnerable. Devin knew he’d have to be calm, move slowly. But he’d waited long enough. If Cassie wasn’t careful, he might just carry her off. And he wasn’t sure either of them was quite ready for that.

My thoughts

My thoughts on this book were anything but bad. It was so moving, to know that Devin had always carried a flame for Cassie, seeing everything she’d gone through and supporting her, even when hiding his true feelings.

Cassie and Devin had attended the same school, and that is when Devin first fell for Cassie, but she had already been seeing somebody who she, later on, had two children with.

Devin couldn’t help but think that if he’d had told her sooner about his feelings, then maybe she wouldn’t have gone through what she had, but she had two children too, which only made it more tough on her as well as Devin to move forward with their lives.

There were many topics covered within this story, including domestic abuse. Which I can say I have never come across in a Roberts book before. So, this was a bit of a different read, compared to others.

Conclusion

I really enjoyed this book as the subjects that were touched upon, were very touching.

Title – The Fall of Shane Mackade

Author – Nora Roberts

Main characters

Shane Mackade

Rebecca Knight

Mackade family

Synopsis

The last single Mackade

Shane Mackade loved women and they loved him. The youngest Mackade was a man of the land, a physical man who had nothing in common with academic Rebecca Knight…nothing tangible anyway. But here in Antietam not everything was tangible and that was why Rebecca was here. This woman was looking into the unexplainable. Until she started having very irrational thoughts indeed…thoughts centre on Shane.

My thoughts

This book was quite interesting as Shane was the sort of fella that didn’t like to get tied up with a women, until Rebecca came along.

Rebecca was a beautiful woman looking into paranormal activity around Shane’s farm. He was not happy witht this, as he thought it all ridiculous, until one of the ghosts makes him realise it isn’t as ridiculous as he thought it was.

Conclusion

I really enjoyed this. I would highly recommend it, it is such a wonderful read.

I hope you enjoyed this Quartet Review. Please let me know in the comments whether you did.
